Scott Irvine
Scott Irvine aged 34 years. Scott was a popular member of Hamilton Wheelers from 2015 to 2017. During this time he won the Bill Osbourne Memorial, The Most Improved Rider in the club and the Aggregate Points score trophies. He was a keen and enthusiastic participant who always raced with great vigour and commitment.

Ray Meredith
One of Hamilton’s greatest ever riders Ray Meredith passed away aged 82 years on June 9th. Ray’s list of Hamilton victories is way too long to list as are his achievements at State and National level.
Desperately close to both Commonwealth Games and Olympic selection on 2 occasions, Ray will be remembered for his aggressive and uncompromising style of racing and training. It was well known that when you rode in his group you would work hard, very hard, then most likely be beaten by him at the end of the day. A former member of the now defunct Sandgate Cycling Club, Ray became a stalwart of Hamilton Wheelers and was recognized at the Century Dinner of the club in 2008. A great rider and Hamilton member, Ray was celebrated at a private service. |
