The A Grade field mostly stayed together with some of the favourites all watching each other carefully

and shutting down attacks quickly. Simone Grounds, Mel Symons, Rachel Edwards (fresh back from winning

the world 24 hr MTB champs in womens 35-39) Amy Schramm - it was a quality field! It was looking like a

bunch sprint with about 5 minutes to go then Anne O'Shea from Uni attacked getting a sizable gap, but

it was back together with 2 laps to go. A very strong kick from Jessica Toghill (fresh from a win at the

B grade was great to watch, but like the A grade came down to a bunch sprint. A little bit of argy-bargy

put Trish Sutton Davies out of the context, and Holly was a good 2 bikes lengths clear of Dyane.

The C Grade race had quite a few women new to racing, with 28 riders, the largest field of the day. After a

few attacks that didn't last, the race was dominates by rider #65 Corrine Trang, who stayed away for most

of the race, only being caught with a few laps to go. Once Corrine learns some more race craft she will be

a formidable rider - look out for her in the ITT! In the end the sprint was won comfortable by Laura Ritson,

with Yvette Waterfall and Tina Gilbert a few lengths behind.

A small field of only 4 D Grade riders worked well together, but dropping Rachel Skill around half way through.

Lyn played it smart on the last lap and won by a sizable margin.
