2008 Tour de Sunshine Coast

Last year, HPRW members achieved great results on the Tour de Sunshine Coast. For 2008, we are expecting a tougher Tour with riders from all parts of Australia entering the event. Good preparation will be very important for our success and for those planning to race the 2008 Sunshine Coast Tour, HPRW riders are organising a Sunday of riding and fun for June 1st.

It is the weekend before the Tour and we are planning to ride the new stage 2 (Kenilworth) course and stage 3 (Montville hill climb). The idea is to do reconnaissance rides and exchange some ideas on how to do even better this year.

A suggested time table has been set:

Sunday, 1^st June

07:15 am - meet at a TBA point in Kenilworth

07:30 am - start the 34 km course (+/-1h45min)

10:00 am - meet for a snack in Montville

10:45 am - start the descent and warm up

11:15 am - start the climb

11:45 am - regroup and head out for a nice lunch
